Plan the layout of steps for building clean rooms, dust-free workshops, clean rooms, and purification workshops

The previous article introduced the first step in building a dust-free workshop: site selection. After selecting a suitable workshop, the next step is to plan the layout.

The construction of a clean room in acleanroom is not about hastily selecting materials and equipment for installation after finding a suitable site. Without planning and design, it will be difficult to proceed with the later work. The first thing that needs to be done for design is the floor plan. There are several elements to consider when planning a floor plan: 1. Compliance with production processes, 2. Compliance with cleanroom planning, 3. Compliance with fire safety regulations, and so on!

1. Production Process: Different industries have different production processes, and as for the production process involving industry standards, it needs to be provided by production engineers or equipment manufacturers, which will not be introduced in this article

2. Cleanroom Design Specification: This article takes the standard for Class II medical device factories as an example:

1. There should be factories and workshops that are suitable for the variety and quantity of products produced, and the work areas should be reasonably arranged and divided according to the requirements of production technology and cleanliness to avoid cross contamination. The inspection room set up in the factory should be separated from the production area

2. Follow the separation of personnel and goods, that is, separate personnel and materials on different routes

A: Personnel entering the line process: changing shoes - taking off outer clothing - making dust-free clothing - hand washing and disinfection - buffering - clean corridor - various functional rooms - private rooms

B: Material Entry: Raw Material Warehouse - Outsourcing - Buffer Sterilization - Enter Production Area

C: Finished product output: completed production - inner packaging - outer packaging - finished product warehouse

D: Warehouse area: Raw materials, semi-finished products, finished products and other materials should be stored in separate warehouses or zones according to their different properties. Cleaning agents, disinfectants, insecticides, lubricants, fuels and other materials should be placed separately from raw materials, semi-finished products, finished products and other materials. The materials in the warehouse should be kept at an appropriate distance from the walls and floors, and clearly labeled to prevent cross contamination.

F: Cleanrooms of different purification levels need to be equipped with buffers to prevent high-level cleanrooms from being contaminated by low-level cleanrooms.
